At Advanced Orthodontics, Dr. Larrabee believes that the jaw health of a patient is just as important as the aesthetics of having straight teeth. Following his orthodontic residency, Dr. Larrabee elected into an additional two-year training course with the Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontists. As a Roth Williams Orthodontist, he has been trained in the ability to correct the bite in harmony with the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) complex as well as align the teeth to create a unique, healthy smile and jaw joint. At the time of his training, only 5% of orthodontists were Roth Williams’ certified.
The time has FINALLY come! You’re ready to get your braces removed and show off your perfect new smile. Now is the time to consider your retainer options. Retainers are necessary as long as you want to keep your completed smile looking perfect. Or, as Dr. Larrabee likes to say,
“Retainers are for life!”
At an increasing rate, we’ve had patients asking us how services with companies such as Smile Direct Club, compare to the services they receive at Advanced Orthodontics. While we can only speak to the quality of care you will receive at our office, we can give a comparison of the treatment process as described on their website.
Although modern orthodontics have come a long way, traditional metal braces still have a pretty poor reputation. Many people still think of them as an unflattering mouth full of metal, and some even delay getting orthodontic treatment because they’re afraid of how braces could affect their looks. Teens especially may be mortified by the idea of sporting a “brace face,” even though these treatments have improved their look in leaps and bounds in recent years.
Here at Advanced Orthodontics, we want our teen patients to be excited about starting their journey towards straighter teeth, not dread it. Fortunately, Invisalign Teen can achieve just that!
