It has been an unprecedented past few months for everyone with the Coronavirus putting our health and normalcies of daily life to the test. We closed our offices early to abide by the regulations set forth and are happy to have reopened with the proper safety measures in practice.
Virtual Orthodontic Visits
To limit the amount of foot traffic in our physical office, we are offering the option of virtual visits for new and existing patients. We understand many patients still feel uncomfortable coming into the office and we are happy to accommodate the same level of care as an in-office visit. If you are interested in a virtual orthodontic visit the Advanced Orthodontics team will schedule a time for you to meet with a member of our team through a HIPPA secure video. You can access this virtual visit on a desktop or smartphone. When scheduling you may be asked to provide photos for Dr. Larrabee to review and get a good sense of how to go about treatment.
In-Office Visits
For patients who are choosing to come into the office, we are limiting the number of patients in our locations to allow for social distancing. Patients can text or call when they arrive. As a courtesy, a Team member is walking each patient from their car to the chair/assistant at the time of their appointment so that the lobby/waiting room is not utilized. Once the appointment is complete, you will again be escorted back to your car and a parent is briefed on what was done today and when we would like to see you back.
Office Cleanliness
We always maintain a clean environment, by OSHA standard, but are also making sure our non-clinical areas of the office are being cleaned more frequently as well. We make sure all tools are indeed sanitized between patients as always, wear gloves during examinations, and continue to wear masks in our offices to limit the spread of any viruses.
None of us know how long this pandemic may last. If you are on the fence about beginning orthodontic treatment during this time, rest assured all safety measures are in place to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff. Call today for a virtual consultation.
Dear Doctor,
I have uploaded my pictures.
I really appreciate your kindness and help!
– [ ] Concerns and like to achieve
1. Need make upper front teeth corrected (it should tilt to the downward slightly forward direction), and create space immediately as the FIRST thing between upper and lower front teeth. (Upper front teeth now tilted back and push lower teeth backward and now no room for jaw to go back because that was the furthest it can go. So Need room for lower teeth and jaw move forward. I have to pull my jaw backwards to extreme extend so my lower teeth fit into the upper teeth arch. My jaw is sitting in the wrong back position, it should go forward. And jaw feels sore and lower teeth crowded. I feel my lower front teeth naturally would rest more forward. I pull my jaw backwards because I am afraid lower and upper front teeth chip due to sharp contact points on the cutting edges. Already some chips happened. Upper left and right teeth seem to have been moving forward and squeezing the 2 upper front teeth backwards in my life time. When I was in my 20, the 2 upper front teeth lean backwards not as much. I also have deep bite. I had a wisdom tooth on upper left erupted in the last 25 years.)
2. Bite issues/malocclusion. Want to achieve ideal occlusion. Be able to bite on the left side – currently seems class II malocclusion in the left molars. (I pull my jaw back and there are only a VERY FEW sharp contact points of teeth touching behind front teeth which causes me afraid putting on force. Back teeth not touching as it should. Even if I move my jaw, Left side cannot bite, Right is better but seems ideal either. Hopefully after front teeth problems removed these including left side malocclusion hopefully is easier because lower jaw can go forward. )
3. Teeth alignment straiten for upper and lower front teeth, resolve crowding, misalignment etc. Like to achieve ideal smile line.
4. Make Right and left arches symmetrical. My teeth left and right sides of both arches SEEM not symmetrical and possibly tilted and biting plane SEEMS slanted.
5. Upper front teeth mid line SEEM very little tilted. Needs to be corrected if it is off midline.
6. Asymmetry My face left and right sides are not symmetrical either, I suspect it is caused by teeth. I want teeth asymmetry cleared up. This should be Hopefully after front teeth problems removed and there’s enough room these should be easy.
7. I have a big filling on my lower right tooth 30, dentist said it cannot withstand any force for aligner work. So no force can be put on it.
8. I have a calculus on my lower right incisor 25, it is not attached to 24. When making my custom aligner, the shape of 25 needs to know this.
9. One tooth, 11, had one small piece chipped off already years ago.
